The Grayslake North High School Math Team had a tremendous showing at the State Math Tournament last weekend at the University of Illinois.  After taking first place in the regional competition at Northern Illinois University, the entire team (30 students) qualified for the state meet at the University of Illinois.

Due to the students’ strong performance, the team won the Most Improved School award. Other awards include Scott Schilling, who took 9th place in the Individual competition; Natalie Krajewski, Ariel Choi,  Hayden Ford, Ruben Robles, Scott Schilling, and Jason Lewitzke, who took 7th place in the Senior Precalculus competition; and Bryce Hermsen and Jason Lewitzke, who took 10th place in the Junior Senior Two Person competition.

The Math Team represented Grayslake North with pride and enthusiasm, and we are very proud of their efforts. Math Team coaches are Ms. Zietlow and Mr, de Groh.
