Scores include an English ACT composite score of 21 (or ELA score of 20 if the written portion of the ACT was completed), or SAT score of 480 or higher for the English component. For the second language, a score of Intermediate High or higher is required on the second language exam.
REGISTER HERE BY OCTOBER 24
Exams take approximately 4 hours to complete, and test second language skills in writing, reading, listening, and speaking. Juniors & Seniors with second language experience are invited to register and test.

Knight Open House TONIGHT - 8/26/25
The evening will begin at 5:00 PM with an informal staff meet and greet. This year’s format is a little different—rather than following your student’s schedule, you will have the opportunity to stop by, meet your student’s teachers, and simply say hello. At 6:30 PM, we encourage all parents and guardians to attend our Parent University session in the Field House. This session will provide valuable information and resources to help support your student’s success.
We look forward to seeing you and kicking off another great school year together!

District 127 kicked off the 2025-26 school year with a high-energy Opening Day celebration that reminded us all why community matters in education. Staff from both Grayslake Central and Grayslake North came together for a morning full of school spirit, music, laughter, and heartfelt recognition. The event was a showcase of the district’s theme for the year: Community Building.

On August 8, Grayslake District 127 officially welcomed the Class of 2029 as incoming freshmen at both Grayslake North and Grayslake Central High Schools. Building community is the D127 theme for the year. Orientation serves as more than a tour. It’s a rite of passage where students come together for the first time as one class, united by purpose and potential.
