police in training with yellow and black

Grayslake Community High School District 127 is committed to the safety and security of our students, staff, and community. As part of our ongoing emergency management planning and in alignment with best practices, we want to inform you about an upcoming emergency training exercise at Central High School. Beginning on Monday, July 21, and continuing through Friday, July 25, there will be training all week, with increased first responders in and around the school throughout the week. A full-scale drill is scheduled for Friday, July 25.

Full Building Closure: July 25, 2025
Location: Grayslake Central High School

This exercise will be conducted in partnership with our local law enforcement and emergency response agencies (Grayslake Police Department, Grayslake Fire Protection District, and the North Region EMS Division). You will see an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel in the area during these dates.

Please be assured: This is only a drill. There is no emergency. This is a planned, routine training designed to enhance preparedness and coordination in the unlikely event of an emergency.

We appreciate our community’s understanding and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of everyone in our schools.
