Grayslake Colts Scholarship - The Grayslake Colts Football and Cheer organization is proud to offer football and cheer participation scholarships to both Grayslake high schools (District 127). These scholarships, valued at $2,000 each, will be awarded to one football and one cheer team member at each school. Current seniors (class of 2024) at Grayslake Central or Grayslake North that will be continuing their education at a college or university in the fall of 2024, and meet the criteria are encouraged to apply. Grayslake Lions Club - Lion Jim "Chief" Rockenbach Scholarship. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Grayslake North High School senior who has a either a vision or hearing impairment who plans to pursue a two or four-year degree, a professional or trade certification for which tuition is required OR a GNHS senior student who plans to pursue a teaching degree and be certified in special education with an emphasis on the instruction of the vision or hearing impaired OR has demonstrated a commitment to community service. GNHS Athletic Boosters - The Grayslake North High School Athletic Booster Club is pleased to announce the availability of a minimum of four $1000 Scholarships to four Grayslake North athletes. These scholarships are one-time grants, designated to assist student athletes pursuing further education. For Samantha Inc. Scholarship - For Samantha Inc. was formed to honor the life of our beloved Samantha Spano who lost her life to suicide in March of 2017. Ellevation Scholarship: Ellevation will be awarding ten $2,000 scholarships to deserving EL high school seniors who are continuing on to higher education. This year, scholarships will be awarded directly to students over the summer to be used to offset the cost of tuition or additional transitional costs from higher education including purchasing technology, textbooks and supplies, transportation and dorm items, and more. State Bank of the Lakes Scholarship - Our scholarship is $2000 paid out in yearly increments of $500/year to a 4-year institution. Deadline 4/1/24 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

NISE Founder's Scholarship - The NISE Founder’s Scholarships are merit-based and awarded to two graduating seniors who are attending college in a STEM-related field in the Fall of 2024. Criteria for eligibility also include completion of at least three years each of high school or dual credit math and science, and participation in at least one STEM-based extracurricular activity. This year, we are offering two (2) NISE Founder’s Scholarships for $750 each. Deadline 4/10/24 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

NISE Director's Scholarship - The NISE Director’s Scholarship is also a merit-based scholarship and is awarded to one senior who is entering a certified science teaching program in the Fall of 2023 with the intent to earn their science teaching license (for any K-12 grades). Eligibility also included the completion of at least three years of high school or dual credit science. This year, we are offering one NISE Director’s Scholarship for $750. Palumbo Family Foundation Scholarships - This Foundation offers SEVERAL scholarships. Scholarships are open to all high school seniors, students with GED diplomas, undergraduate (2 yr or 4 yr) college students, and students at vocational or trade schools who meet the program requirements. Grayslake Greenery Garden Club - Supplies financial aid to students for their study of horticulture and environmental field. The areas of study need to be in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Plant Pathology, Forestry, Agronomy, and Environmental studies. Applicants must be majoring in one of these fields of study. Deadline extended to 4/5/24 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Golden Apple Scholars of IL
The Golden Apple Scholars Program in Illinois is a teacher preparation and tuition assistance program for high school seniors and freshman and sophomore Illinois college students who have the determination and drive to be highly effective teachers in Illinois schools-of-need. We prepare aspiring teachers for immediate and lasting success in the most challenging teaching environments.

Scholars Receive:

Opening in December - DO NOT DELAY filling out this application.  Illinois can run out of grant or MAP funds so your chances are better the earlier you apply.  FAFSA is also mandatory for graduation - you will either need to fill out the FAFSA application or the non-participation waiver.
